Upcoming CEPS workshop
CEPS/INSTEAD is hosting the “Social and labour market policy evaluation with administrative data” workshop, which will be held in Esch-sur-Alzette, in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, on 9-12 June 2015. The workshop is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy of Luxembourg.
The conference will be preceded by a two-day training session on causal inference and programme evaluation, given by Barbara Sianesi, Senior Research Economist at the IFS (Institute for Fiscal Studies). The 2-day training course will be followed by the workshop, with the presentation of complementary papers.
The baseline objective of the meeting is to provide detailed and extensive empirical evidence on the evaluation of social and labour market programmes in Luxembourg and abroad. Novel identification and estimation strategies will be also introduced to analyse complex causal designs, such as: i) randomisation bias in social experiments, ii) substantial noncompliance to assigned public programmes, iii) strategies for continuous treatment effects.
Call for papers
Participants are invited to submit papers using the online application form by March 13th, 2015. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by March 31st, 2015. Registration to the conference is open until May 8th, 2015.
